Dr. Lages completed a Bachelor of Dental Science (with Honours award) at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, in 2006. She is committed to providing the best care for her patients by attending many continuing education courses and being up to date with the most advanced technologies available. Her caring and gentle manner helps patients to feel comfortable in the dental chair.
She first got interested in dentistry due to her fascination with the dental materials and tehnology involved in dental treatment. She is passionate about giving her patients the smile they’ve always dreamed of. The change in their confidence is the most rewarding for her and for her patients. When patients have porcelain veneers or crowns after some teeth whitening, it can change their whole appearance.
Her current dental interests are cosmetic dentistry and oral surgery. She has recently completed a course on wisdom tooth surgical extraction. Although not as life changing aesthetically, it is still a necessary treatment that can be quite complex, and unfortunately, causes many people pain and distress until completed.
In the summertime, if you don’t find Dr Lages at the beach, engrossed in her latest book, she is probably exploring the restaurants and stylish pubs in vibrant Darlinghurst or maybe heading across Oxford St, in multicultural Surry HIlls, trying new restaurants and cafes. Bonus points if they are dog friendly!
